Never Out of Style

In 1952 when the beauty giant launched the Fire & Ice collection ad campaign featuring "It Girl" Dorian Leigh, the model's jet-black hair and striking red lips and nails set against a dazzling silver sequined gown triggered a hailstorm of copycats. Fire & Ice shade continues to be a top-selling Revlon shade.

Honey has amazing properties that make it perfect for sensitive skin of the face. This honey mask is so addicting because it leaves my skin so soft AND it's inexpensive!

FAKING IT

I am PALE. WHITE. As in I look like a vampire if I don't tan. Like J Lo when she was a Fly Girl pale! Sometimes it works to my advantage to be light for certain photo shoots, but for the most part I am asked to come tanned.
Since, I refuse to use tanning beds or lay out in the sun for the obvious reasons of skin cancer and looking 65 when you are 25.
So my quest has been to find the best self tanner EVER invented. I have tried it ALL, let me tell you, I have wasted a lot of money on self tanners that have turned me a hideous color. So I would like to save you the time and money by sharing my top 3 favorite self tanners. Please don't ruin your beautiful skin by lathering oil on and baking in the sun...at least wear SPF!

#3 Loreal Sublime Bronze $9 (Walgreens, Target, CVS, Rite Aid) Love the price and love the instant glow.

#2 Sun Laboratories By Giesse $25 (Beauty Supply Stores or online at http://www.sunlabsonline.com/Scripts/default.asp) Love the that it goes on dark and the color isn't orange. WEAR GLOVES when applying!

#1 Xen Tan Absolute Luxe Lotion. Dark $60 (Nordstrom) Love that this smells like Chocolate, not orange, instant bronzed color. WEAR GLOVES when applying.

TIPS to make your tan look gorgeous: Before you start make sure you exfoliate your whole body, I mean every inch of it. I like to use the scrubbing mits from Sally's Beauty Supply or Cvs

Make sure to apply the product everywhere, just don't glob it on your feet and knees or you will look dirty, not cute...trust me.

I'd love to hear of any products that you love :)

She Bangs :)

Bangs. Fringe. Whatever you want to call them, I'm obsessed with having them but I go back and forth a lot... Do I keep my bangs? Do I grow them out? Do I just push them to the side? Grrrr... There's pros and cons to having them.
Pros: Gives you and edgier look, a little more high fashion dahlinggg, covers the 5 head, wrinkles, and bad eyebrows.
Cons: Soooo high maintenance (forget about looking cute at the gym! or on a windy day), they take FOREVER to grow out, brings more attention to your nose (for some people this is a plus) and some days they really do have a mind of their own...
But for now I love them.
Here are some of my favorite Bang photos, Enjoy!

You're So Catty

A hot makeup idea for this Fall is the sexy Cat Eye!

This look is best achieved with liquid eyeliner, which definitely requires a steady hand. If you’re all thumbs, use eyeshadow or a pencil liner instead. Start at the inner corner of your eye and sweep the liner to the outer corner your eyelid in one fluid motion. (This is a tricky look to achieve so it might take some practice.)  For a super-sultry look, thicken the line from the middle to the outer corner with an extra dose of liner. Make sure the line extends past the outer corner and be sure to curve it up at the end. Finish off with lots of mascara to give your gaze a seductive finish.

My favorite liquid liner is by Prestige and it's only 5 bucks at your local drug store. Thanks Rachel for introducing me to this awesome cheapy liner :)

the Au Naturel look Laura Mercier Tinited Moisturizer

This tinted moisturizer is kind of amazing... I love wearing it to the gym or throwing some on when I'm running errrands because it has a great hydrating lotion with the most beautiful tint to it. This product looks so fresh and dewy when applied. It never settles into lines and keeps my face both looking and feeling fresh all day long. The much needed SPF 20 is an awesome addition to the product and does not irritate my sunscreen sensitive skin. It comes in 7 shades that match virtually every skin tone, with Almond, being the perfect shade for my faux-tan. $42-

Chocolate That's Zero Calories

Finally! I found a bronzer that makes me look tan without appearing orange. Chocolate Soleil By Too Faced is a matte bronzer that neutralizes red and evens out all skin tones .
The best part about this bronzer, it has a sinfully sweet chocolate scent.

Too Faced: Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. $28-

So you want smokey eyes?

Favorite Bronze Eyeshadow Colors: Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Surabaya

What You Need:

  • A dark (black or brown)  pencil A medium-toned colour for your eyelids.
  • A light colour for highlighting and for blending.
  • An eyelash curler and black mascara.
  • A large eyeshadow brush, a medium eyeshadow brush and an angle brush.

Creating the Look

  1. Using your medium eyeshadow brush apply your medium-toned colour to the lid, working it up to (but not beyond the crease). To achieve the soft, layered look, start with a little product and build to it, blending as you go.
  2. With your dark pencil, line your upper lashline. If you choose to use a pencil, make sure it's soft, and use an angle brush to blend the line down into the lashline and out and up. If you use an eyeshadow, blend the colour down into the lashline and up towards the crease.
  3. Line the inside of your eyelids with eyeliner. Make sure to line both the top and bottom and blend it into the lashline.
  4. Using your large eyeshadow brush, apply your highlighter colour to your browbone and onto the inner corners of your eyes. If you'd like to soften your look, blend your light colour onto your eyelids. It'll soften and lighten the entire effect.

Affordable Sulfate Free Shampoo: One 'N' Only Argan Oil Moisturizing Shampoo

I went on a hunt for the best smelling, most moisturizing, SULFATE FREE, inexpensive shampoo... AND let me tell you this was not easy! After leaving the drug store, I was discouraged because every shampoo had sulfates in them.
I decided to go to a high end beauty supply to find decent shampoos but the cheapest one I could find was $20.00.... I left and went to Sally's Beauty Supply and that's when I found it... One 'n Only Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo.
The best part is that its 10 bucks :) My hair has never felt or smelled better.

My best friend: Eve Pearl - Salmon Concealer

My favorite under eye concealer! The texture is amazing because it blends so well with the delicate under eye skin. The orange (salmon) color combats the blue tones associated with dark circles, so its not really suited for other parts of my face, but it does its job or covering the dark circles perfectly. The formula is very creamy, but not greasy and I've found that it does not crease like many other concealers do. The trick is to use a tiny tiny amount and blend it gently. Add more layers if the coverage is not enough. It's worth the $42 http://www.evepearl.com/
